Not called up by Brazil for the current rounds of World Cup Qualifiers, Manchester United fullback Alex Telles visited another country in his time off during the international break.

His former club Porto made a post on social media showing his ‘special visit’, where he met players, manager and even club president Pinto da Costa.

At the Olival training centre, Telles was filmed and photographed greeting and speaking to his former teammates and coach Sérgio Conceição. The video shows striker Evanilson congratulating him for the goal scored against Villarreal.

Alex Telles won two Portuguese League titles with Porto before leaving for Manchester United on a €15m deal in 2020.

Despite the big expectations around his arrival at Old Trafford, the Brazilian still fights for a place at left-back position against Luke Shaw. He currently has 26 appearances for the club.

Once Telles returns to Manchester, he and the Red Devils’ squad prepare for the clash against Leicester City on the 16th of October. Had he been at the national team, he’d be set to miss that match, as Fred and Edinson Cavani are set to do, due to their late matches.
