Manchester United’s Antony is set to join Real Betis on a loan deal in the winter market.
On Monday, ABC Sevilla reported he favours a move to Real Betis amid approaches from other clubs. It was also stated the La Liga side were hoping to complete a deal for the winger yesterday.
That didn’t happen and Monday’s edition of AS states a transfer for the Manchester United player should go through soon.
The 24-year-old hasn’t had regular minutes at Manchester United and failed to shine when handed opportunities. He’s set to join the Spanish club on loan until the end of this season, after they closed the deal with the Red Devils.
Ruben Amorim’s side have ‘included countless clauses’ in the deal so that Antony ends up featuring regularly at Real Betis. AS add Manuel Pellegrini’s side will cover part of his high salary and won’t have an option or obligation to buy.
According to the report, the South American will travel to Seville in the ‘next few hours’ to carry out medical tests with Real Betis and then sign the contract.
Antony should become the Andalusian club’s first signing of this window in the ‘next few hours’.
