Last summer, Paris Saint-Germain were keen on signing Ivan Rakitic, but the midfielder decided against leaving Barcelona and has continued to be an important player this season.
Sport has a story about Chelsea’s interest in the 30-year-old on the front page of the newspaper. They want him to lead the new sporting project at Stamford Bridge for the next season.
Within the story, it is claimed the west London club are not the only side chasing the Croatia international as Manchester United and Arsenal also get a mention.
The Red Devils have the ‘player on the table’ for the summer and they want to know the availability of former Sevilla man so that they can plan an approach once the winter window closes.
Sport reports that Barca may not receive such an offer again and knowing the player is still attracting interest, they are ‘waiting for offers’ in the summer. 
Rakitic’s desire is to continue with Barcelona for many years, but the signing of Frenkie de Jong and the potential arrival of Adrien Rabiot could complicate things for the Croatian.
Manchester United interest has been reported previously, but it’s never felt like a strong possibility.
That seems the case again.
