Manchester United’s loan star Andreas Pereira is currently sitting bottom of La Liga with Granada. It’s not the best position to be in, but he’s getting minutes on the pitch, and some nice winter sun too.
Pereira has been speaking to Marca, and the Spanish newspaper asked if he saw himself as a leader of the team, insinuating that already Pereira has become important.
The Manchester United owned footballer said it was nice if other players looked to him, so Marca asked if Granada was seeing the best of Pereira, who replied: “I have already showed a little of what I can, but I hope the best is yet to come.”
Marca, who were refreshingly to the point in the interview, asked Pereira if he regretted leaving Manchester United for Granada on loan, given the situation the Andalusia club find themselves in.
The 20 year old could hardly say he did, and replied: “I’m happy, I’m playing, I try to improve every day and get experience. I’m learning every day with the coaches and also with my colleagues. I have been received in an unbeatable way in the city. So I do not regret it, but we need to start winning in the championship.”
Battling against relegation, Pereira believes it’s only small details holding back Granada from winning their first league game of the season, after 10 matches already.
