In recent quotes, Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira has made it clear that he’d like to stay at Flamengo for longer.

Following the mistake made by the midfielder in the Copa Libertadores final, he’s been claiming he wants to prove himself and win titles at the club, and that could only happen after the end of his loan spell.

With rumours saying Flamengo are working to get a discount from Manchester United, as they can’t afford the €20m buying clause, there are now reports claiming the deal with the player is done.

Bolavip writes there’s a ‘verbal agreement’ between Flamengo and Andreas Pereira. That’s for a four-year contract in which the player will make R$800k a month (around £26k a week).

Those figures may sound strange for Manchester United fans who know how much players at the Premier League side make, but in Brazil, that’s the average salary of important footballers.

Bolavip writes that Andreas has already shown his wish to stay at Flamengo and ‘doesn’t want to return to Europe’.

They add that Flamengo don’t even consider paying €20m for his move and have been showing ‘optimism’ over getting a discount.
