Following the defeat to Atletico Madrid which knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League this week, the future of Paul Pogba is again a topic of discussion in the Italian media.

Since the midfielder’s contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season, this is seen as the golden chance for Juventus to bring him back to Turin after six years.

Still, the Frenchman’s recent form is also being considered, as this isn’t the most convincing time of his career. And speaking to CMIT TV, journalist Massimo Franchi made some heavy comments regarding Pogba’s performance on Tuesday evening.

“Yesterday he was practically a ghost. He seems to be his brother, it is certainly not the Pogba who left Juve,” Franchi told CMIT TV.

Regarding the chances of Juventus landing Pogba in the summer, Franchi pointed out that it’s quite possible, especially because of the player’s wish.

“There is also the salary to consider. I think the deal is possible, he has a crazy desire, has exhausted the adventure at Manchester and wants to return. He has many friends, he is tied to the city, to the team, to the environment. It would be a successful purchase if the one you admired at Juventus returns.”

Calcio Mercato’s story is pretty sure that Pogba is not staying at Old Trafford following the end of the season, claiming he ‘will not renew’ his contract with Manchester United.
