As the future of Sergio Romero continues to be full of possibilities, the chances of him moving to La Liga are commented on by the Spanish media today.
It’s Plaza Deportiva who feature a piece claiming Valencia are expected to be looking for a goalkeeper in the summer, since Jasper Cillessen’s departure is ‘necessary’.
One of the options the club have is the Manchester United goalkeeper, whose ‘offering’ and therefore the possibility to sign him has been ‘on the table’.
According to the story, Valencia has ‘little economic power’ for summer signings, which means they’re going after free agents or loan deals.
Sergio Romero’s contract with Manchester United expires in the summer, and since he hasn’t been used by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the whole season, he’s obviously expected to leave Old Trafford.
Reports from Argentina have been pointing out that despite offers from the United States and South America, the goalkeeper’s priority would be to stay in Europe, so perhaps a move to Valencia would be an attractive option to him.
Only time will tell.
