Andreas Pereira’s time with Manchester United is coming to an end, at the very least for the coming season.
According to Leggo, Corriere dello Sport and a multitude of others in Italy, the midfielder is set to have a Lazio medical at 8am Italian time on Wednesday morning, so 7am back in the UK.
He’s expected to join the Serie A side for the rest of the current campaign, after a breakthrough was made on Monday evening with regards to the player’s personal terms. Wages didn’t only have to be agreed for this season, but also for the subsequent contract Pereira will have if the move is made permanent.
Initial claims in Italy said the move would be a loan with a compulsory €10m buying clause, it was then reported in Brazil it would instead be a €27m option, several other figures have also been mentioned.
Should the €27m optional clause be the case then it feels like a vanity amount with it incredibly unlikely Lazio would actually pay that, unless Pereira completely takes Italian football by storm.
