Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira is being loaned out to Vitória de Setúbal for the rest of the season, according to reports from Portugal.

Newspaper Record claims that the deal was closed on Monday night, and the player should be present at the Liga NOS side this Wednesday to sign the contract and start training.

Record claims that it was manager José Mourinho who indicated the signing to Vitória de Setúbal, which is his home town club, and the place where he started his career as a coach.

Mourinho had already confirmed that Pereira would be loaned out this season, explaining that the goalkeeper needs more minutes. That’s the reason Manchester United have signed Lee Grant this summer.
