Chilean outlet RedGol brings an ‘exclusive’ story today about Atletico Madrid’s interest in signing Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United.

They claim that the transfer of El Niño Maravilla has been requested by Diego Simeone, who had previously worked with him at River Plate a decade ago, and needs a player to replace Antoinne Griezmann.

With Atletico Madrid joining the list of interested clubs, they should now battle the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan for the signing.

“Alexis leaves yes or yes, he demands a change to have the chance to prove his value,” a source told Red Gol.

The outlet claims that the problem could be his price, since Manchester United would like to recover part of the investment made in the player.

Sanchez, who missed the last part of the season with Manchester United due to an injury, is now fully recovered. He’s trained normally this week and is set to play the friendlies in preparation for the Copa America in Brazil later this month.
