Manchester United’s chase for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is back to being reported by the French media today.
As journalist Ignazio Genuardi speaks about the 22-year-old’s future, he points out that Old Trafford is one of the potential destinations for the player this summer.
It’s said Tchouameni could ‘rather’ join either Real Madrid ‘or the Premier League’ over Juventus, since Manchester United are ‘particularly hot’ on the trail of the midfielder.
Speaking of the competition from English clubs, the Red Devils seem to have an advantage over Chelsea, because even though the Blues have been ‘a fan of his profile’, their current situation means it’s hard to predict what direction they will go in this summer.
Manchester United’s links with Tchouameni started last year, with the club said to be interested in strengthening their midfield, and the French media has been bringing a few updates since then.
In early March, it was Catalan outlet Sport who pointed out that the Red Devils are one of the clubs who should compete with Barcelona for the signing.
That story claimed the player could cost up to €60m this summer.
