Manchester United had a scout in attendance for Red Bull Salzburg’s clash with Sparta Prague this week, potentially to look at several of the Austrian side’s players.
That’s according to Fussball News, who report that Manchester United were one of several sides to send scouts to watch the game on Wednesday evening.
They say that the Austrian side’s games are often regularly attended by scouts from across Europe and this week was no different.
Manchester United are one of the sides that are known to be ‘taking a closer look’ at Salzburg and their list of young players. With that in mind, they had a scout in attendance on Wednesday to keep an eye on them.
One player on the list could be Samson Baidoo, with reports in England already crediting United with an interest in him. A strong season for the 20-year-old could ‘quickly heat up interest’.
Oscar Gloukh is another on the radar, potentially as a long-term replacement for Bruno Fernandes, and the 20-year-old’s development is now being ‘monitored more closely’ as well.
There is even a suggestion that right-winger Adam Daghim could be on the radar as a replacement for Antony.
The 18-year-old is still raw and developing but his ability to play on the right wing and upfront, as well as his ‘determination and straightforwardness’ have caught the eye.
His profile is one that is believed to have caught the eye, as well as those of Baidoo and Gloukh, and they’re names to potentially keep an eye on in the near future.
