Although it seemed like Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s transfer would be one of the big moves of the summer window, it’s starting to sound like an increasingly difficult deal.

In a story from Tuttosport this Tuesday, the newspaper explains that Lazio are currently demanding €150m for his transfer, making it quite unlikely.

Juventus are said to have given up on negotiations, and the outlet makes it clear that other clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United aren’t up for paying the amount either.

The player’s wish is said to be playing in the Champions League, but then his agents will have to find a club who are ready to spend that huge amount.

The possibility of making a deal involving money plus a player is also mentioned by Tuttosport, like Juve offering Marko Pjaca + €110m. But the Old Lady still consider it to be too much for the Serbian international, and that should be the same for Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho likely has his own players he could use in a move, but if the headline figure of €150m is still thought to be too much, and Lazio won’t budge, then it’s hard to how the move becomes a reality.
