Manchester United’s hunt for a new centre-forward has never been a secret, especially after the club chose to part ways with Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of last year.

Having a hard time making a big investment in the January transfer window, the Red Devils ended up opting for spending little on the arrival of Wout Weghorst from Burnley, who joined on a loan until the end of the season after his temporary deal with Besiktas was cut short.

That was also a way to wait and make the right signing in the next summer, and as Napoli star Victor Osimhen is reported to be a target, the Italian media sounds sure that Manchester United would have no problems in paying a big fee for his transfer.

That’s today said by journalist Emanuele Cammaroto on Napoli Magazine.

As he writes a story about the moves that are about to happen at the Serie A side, he brings a stance on the future of Osimhen at the club.

“Chapter Osimhen: Manchester United and Chelsea are not afraid of the amount that Aurelio De Laurentiis will ask, that is €120m. If the Nigerian striker goes to the Premier League, Giuntoli and his staff are already working on a couple of profiles.”

Playing for Napoli this season, Osimhen has 15 goals and four assists in 20 matches, helping them be on top of the Serie A table so far, with a comfortable lead on the rest of the teams.

This form in front of goal is exactly why Manchester United will be interested, with many believing he could be the ideal man to lead the line at Old Trafford going forward under Erik ten Hag.
