Lucas Vázquez is appealing to clubs across Europe because his contract at Real Madrid runs down at the end of the season.

Manchester United are in the mix for signing the 29-year-old and the Red Devils’ interest has been discussed by various outlets in Spain over the last week or so.

AC Milan also have their eyes set on the Spain international, who has been used in wide attacking positions and as a right-back this season.

Vázquez’s versatility and qualities make him an ideal fit for the Serie A side, according to Calciomercato. Milan chief Paolo Maldini has already had ‘more than one contact’ with the player’s entourage.

Zinedine Zidane’s man is demanding a four-year deal worth €5m net per season, but the Rossoneri can only go to €4m.

Stefano Pioli’s side will not just face an economic obstacle to sign the Real Madrid player.

Apart from the financial stumbling block, the Italian cub will face competition from Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan to sign Vázquez.

Calciomercato add a ‘goodbye’ from the player to Real Madrid is ‘possible’ after this season. Milan will observe other targets, while they also wait to find out if Vázquez can become ‘not only technical, but also an economic opportunity’ in the summer.
