Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri wans to stay at Alavés next season after his successful loan spell there last year.
That’s according to AS, who say that the youngster has made his preferences clear to Manchester United, who want to loan him out once again
Pellistri spent the second half of last season with the Spanish club and, despite a few problems there, impressed when given the chance.
The experience left a ‘sensational taste in his mouth’ on both a personal and professional level, and he has told those in charge at Old Trafford he would like to return.
Alavés would like to make that happen, but the club’s sporting director, Sergio Fernández, knows that there are ‘economic limitations’ that force him to wait before making a move.
Thus Pellistri has to remain on their list for the time being, and there is a real danger that they could be trumped by another club, with several European clubs having ‘asked about his situation’.
If any of those were to put money on the table, then Manchester United are likely to bite, with them keen to give Pellistri more game time as they want him more ‘experienced’ for the future.
Alavés need to move quickly then, with Pellistri keen to stay, but the market potentially moving against that happening.
