Borussia Dortmund are keen on a move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot, but only on loan.
That’s according to Sport 1’s chief reporter Patrick Berger, who confirms reports the Bundesliga side want the Portuguese full-back.
Reports yesterday claimed that Dortmund were looking at the 22-year-old and had opened talks with Manchester United to bring him to Germany.
Berger backs that up and says the defender is a ‘hot target’ for the Bundesliga side, and he is equally keen on the move.
Indeed, he has already been doing his research about the club, asking Portugal teammate Raphael Guerreiro and Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho regarding them.
We’d like to imagine both have gave glowing reviews given their respective careers at the Signal Iduna Park, but Berger doesn’t offer any information in that regard.
What he does say is that Dortmund are ‘in negotiations’ with Manchester United but only want a loan deal with an option to buy included.
It’s not made clear if United would accept such a deal, although reports elsewhere stated they wanted a permanent sale, so it appears there is some work to be done to make it happen.
