Last week, Sport Witness were informed Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte is included in Manchester United’s target list for the summer window.
Three days ago, Uruguay Fichajes said the midfielder would love to join the Red Devils. It was also stated his camp sees Manchester United as an ideal destination.
Later that day, ESPN Uruguay reported PSG are demanding part of the €60m fee they invested to sign Ugarte from Sporting in June 2023, and Manchester United are willing to pay up.
Bayern Munich are said to be interested in the 23-year-old, but Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to dismiss that.
He says the Uruguay international, who can leave the Ligue 1 winners, is a ‘serious target’ for Erik ten Hag’s side. The journalist adds that talks have taken place, without making it clear if it was between the Red Devils and Ugarte’s camp or between the two clubs.
Uruguay Fichajes took to X to state Manchester United and PSG have held ‘positive talks’ for Ugarte, and that Ten Hag’s side could table the first offer in the ‘next few hours’.
They add the possibility of the South American moving to England this summer is gaining strength, which indicates all parties would be in favour of a transfer.
That €60m figure, though, seems too high.
