As soon as the Sergio Reguilon to Manchester United rumours started, there were claims in Portugal that Alex Telles was also an option for the Premier League club.

The player’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has been trying to find a potential big move for his client this summer, and therefore it makes sense if he’s been in contact with those in charge at Old Trafford.

With less than a year left on his current deal at FC Porto, Telles is available for around €20m. Should he struggle to find the big move he’s long wanted, the Portuguese side will likely try for a renewal.

Telles has looked like a relatively easy signing for Manchester United, with no serious competition present. O Jogo now suggest things may have changed, with PSG having an issue with the left-back position.

Juan Bernat is out for the foreseeable future with a cruciate injury, and Layvin Kurzawa is banned for six league matches after trouble in the match against Marseille. Telles is now ‘in the equation’ for PSG, with Manchester United and Atletico Madrid ‘lurking’.

Should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side be genuinely interested, then they may need to move quickly for the Brazilian.
