Manchester United finally got a transfer over the line for Bruno Fernandes towards the end of the January window, having been interested in the midfielder for some time.

The Old Trafford club regularly sent officials to watch Sporting, but Bruno’s side weren’t the only ones receiving attention.

Having signed players from both Porto and Benfica in the past, Manchester United officials have continued to watch the clubs, always planning for the next transfer market.

Porto faced Benfica on Saturday evening and it’s no surprise United had someone at the game, which Porto won 3-2.

O Jogo report Red Devils officials were joined by scouts from Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Marseille, PSV, Sevilla and Valencia.

Despite being on the losing side, Ruben Dias had a good match for Benfica, and has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past.

Left back Alex Grimaldo wasn’t so good for the Lisbon club, but attacker Rafa Silva, who has been in good form recently, did play well.

For Porto, left back Alex Telles excelled, and the team’s best performer was midfielder Sergio Oliveira.
