Manchester United long-time target Marquinhos said he’s likely to renew his contract at Paris Saint German soon.
In an interview with RMC Sport (via Calcio Mercato), the defender said: “Late in the season, that’s when we think a lot. But after conversations with my family, PSG… They have once again demonstrated their confidence in my future, my work, my qualities. I’m happy in Paris.”
Asked if it means he’s set to sign a new deal, Marquinhos made it very clear he’s eager to get into renewal talks: “Of course! If it continues like this, as I’m happy here, of course there is the wish to extend. We will see.”
Calcio Mercato take the quotes and say he’s been followed by Barcelona, Manchester United and Inter Milan lately.
Most of the speculation surrounding the 22-year-old was because he’s considered too good to be sitting on PSG’s bench. But as David Luiz has now moved back to Chelsea, Marquinhos is a PSG started, so it looks like the chance has gone.
