With reported Manchester United target João Palhinha once again available for Sporting, Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã today features a story about him and what he can offer to the Lions in this final stretch of the season.
It’s claimed that besides helping his team, the defensive midfielder is also looking to ‘get back on the radar of some European sharks’ who have already showed their interest in signing him.
And when speaking of those clubs, Correio da Manhã only names one: Manchester United.
It’s said the Red Devils are ‘in the lead’ for a potential summer deal, even though there aren’t many more details on how advanced the talks for his transfer are.
Manchester United’s links with Palhinha have been on since January, when it was first said the Red Devils had made an approach for his signing.
It’s been claimed for a while that the midfielder is wanted by a few Premier League sides, and the word in Portugal is that Sporting would only accept to negotiate him for over €30m.
