Manchester United are ready to make a move for Ajax star Antony should Marcus Rashford leave Old Trafford this summer.
That’s according to TuttoJuve, who say Manchester United ‘could launch an offensive’ for the Ajax man.
The Brazilian is one of the rising stars of the current squad, having scored 12 goals and registered ten assists in 33 games in all competitions this season.
He has 22 goals and 20 assists in 79 games in all competitions for the Dutch giants, who he joined in a £14.18m deal from Sao Paulo in July 2020.
It’s believed the big clubs could all come calling for him this summer, and Manchester United have been thrown into the mix in the last few weeks, particularly with an increasing belief they may look to hire Ajax manager Erik ten Hag this summer.
It’s under him that Antony has shined, and TuttoJuve now state they are very much in the picture for the 22-year-old.
According to them, United would look at the Brazilian amid a ‘possible departure’ for Marcus Rashford, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent weeks.
If that were to happen, they could ‘launch an offensive’ to sign Antony, but it would only happen if the Englishman departs.
One bonus for Manchester United is that Juventus are not interested in a deal, although they do face competition from PSG, Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Indeed, his agents has already started talks with Ligue 1 giants, so United may want to start making their own moves.
