For the past few weeks, Real Madrid’s Raphaël Varane has been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester United.

The defender’s contract expires in 2022 and three days ago, AS reported he’s yet to hold talks with the Spanish club over a new deal.

It was also explained the Red Devils are in the picture for the centre-back, who turned 28 years of age on Sunday.

Mundo Deportivo has an update on the France international’s renewal and they explain the negotiations between the former Lens man and Los Blancos have already started.

However, the player ‘doesn’t seem convinced’ to continue with his current employer, and that’s because the proposal tabled by the La Liga side will see him earn less than he’s currently earning.

Luckily for the World Cup winner, the ‘offers are not lacking’ as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and Paris Saint-Germain are ‘very interested’ in acquiring his services.

It’s claimed Zinedine Zidane’s side would ask around €70m to cut ties with the player in the next market.

Mundo only state Manchester United are ‘very interested’, there’s no mention if either the Old Trafford club or PSG are willing to pay the €70m fee for Varane.
