With Manchester United being linked to Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for a long time, the time for their offensive for the player could finally be coming.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato features a story claiming Lazio are now getting ready to sell the midfielder, with president Claudio Lotito looking to cash in on their star this summer.
Even though Milinkovic-Savic is seen by club fans as a ‘sergeant’ and a ‘champion’ by club and fans, it seems the time has come for them to use the opportunity of making big money with his departure.
So speaking of high numbers, Calcio Mercato claims there are two clubs who have the financial arguments to convince Lazio and the player. Those are Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain.
Their interest is said to be ‘strong and confirmed’, and now ‘an international auction risks unleashing’.
As it usually happens with the big Serie A talents, Juventus are said to be interested as well. However, the Old Lady’s plan to land the midfielder could depend on a swap involving Nicolo Fagioli, so their operation isn’t that simple.
With Manchester United and PSG more likely to just use money in a potential deal, it should come down to the club who’ll have the strongest arguments on the table.
