Manchester United are interested in Atalanta youngster Alessandro Cortinovis, according to reports coming out of Italy.

The 20-year-old, who is yet to represent the Serie A side’s first team, has impressed for Atalanta Primavera this season, scoring 12 goals and registering three assists in 24 matches.

Earlier this week, the midfielder starred for his side in a 2-1 victory over AS Roma Primavera, scoring both the goals.

TuttoMercatoWeb have revealed the Red Devils’ interest in the Italian, but the Premier League side are not the only club looking at the youngster.

According to the report, ‘everyone is crazy’ for the Atalanta Primavera captain, following his fine displays against Roma in the first round of the Campionato Primavera Fase Finale. They now face Sampdoria in the semi-final clash later this weekend.

TMW state Cortinovis has ‘long been making people talk about himself’. Manchester United have followed him for a while, and he is now in the ‘spotlight’ of many clubs, especially those from the Serie A.

Manchester United agreed a deal with Atalanta for Amad Diallo last summer and the Old Trafford club’s good relationship with the Italian side could help them to sign Cortinovis, if they are keen on acquiring his services.
