On Saturday, Sky Deutschland reported Borussia Dortmund are working on a deal to sign Diogo Dalot from Manchester United.
The transfer was pushed forward as a loan, and the Bundesliga side would have a purchase option. To allow the deal to go through, it was said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have to bring a replacement.
Several options have been linked, with Kieran Trippier the man most mentioned, however, Atletico Madrid continue to ask for an above market price to sell the player.
Bild now back up Dortmund interest in Dalot, and they say Manchester United and BVB are in ‘intensive negotiations’ for a transfer, with an Old Trafford exit ‘almost agreed’.
Whilst the deal ‘isn’t yet fixed’, it’s again stated it would be a loan, and Dortmund would want a purchase option.
There’s no mention of Solskjaer needing a replacement in first, but the manager would surely want a back-up for the right-back position, unless he feels he has someone else who can play there.
The story is also carried in Bild’s Sunday newspaper, although now further information is added.
