Ivan Perisic is still without a club for next season, despite his performances for Bayern Munich during the last campaign. The treble winners had the option to make his signing permanent, but didn’t want to pay the fee Inter Milan were asking for.
Manchester United have been linked repeatedly, following Jose Mourinho’s efforts to sign the Croatian when the manager was in charge at Old Trafford. Such links have brought the rolling of eyes from fans of the Premier League club, but they continue to this day.
FussballTransfers, the German version of FootMercato, have an exclusive on Thursday morning. It’s claimed PSG sporting director Leonardo has personally asked about loaning the player from Inter.
FT dismiss interest from any Bundesliga clubs, and they say Perisic sees his future elsewhere. That would suggest the information is coming from a source close to the player.
Perisic is primarily a left-winger, although he’s two-footed and is able to play on the right. It would make more sense for Manchester United to go for a signing who is more a natural right sided player, but at this stage of the window compromises may have to be made.
