Manchester United are looking at Schalke’s Ozan Kabak, if reports coming out of Germany are to be believed.

The Bundesliga side are going through a hard time, both on and off the pitch. They haven’t managed to win a league game this season and their last league win was against Borussia Mönchengladbach in January.

Schalke are also going through an economic crisis, and player sales would help them to ease the situation.

According to Sky Deutschland, the centre-back is the ‘top sales candidate’ for the German club in the winter market.

AC Milan are linked with the Turkey international, but the Serie A side are not the first choice for the player. As per the report, the defender either wants to continue in the Bundesliga or move to the Premier League.

The Red Devils get a mention, and according to Sky journalist Marc Behrenbeck, Manchester United have ‘put out feelers’ for the 20-year-old. That’s about the only information mentioned about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

RB Leipzig are also looking at Kabak as Sky states he could be a ‘successor to Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate’, if either of them ends up leaving the club. They further add there’s been contact between Leipzig and the player’s environment.

The former Galatasaray man has a contract with Schalke until 2024, and Behrenbeck explains Kabak should be available for a ‘sensational’ price between €15m and €20m.
