Manchester United are one of the clubs scouting VfB Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling after his impressive performances this season.
That’s according to Sky Germany journalist Kerry Hau, relayed by Sudwest 24, who reports that Manchester United have the 23-year-old on their list.
Leweling is currently attracting interest from around the world after a series of strong performances for Stuttgart this season and a tally of one goal and two assists in 10 games to date.
That’s proven to be enough to earn him a call-up to the Germany squad for this international break and has scouts from big clubs watching him.
That has largely been because of Jamal Musiala’s absence due to injury, opening up a space in the squad that Nagelsmann has decided to fill with the Stuttgart star.
That will put him further in the spotlight, which has already been growing according to Hau’s information.
He says that Leweling has been attracting the attention of other clubs already and Manchester United are one of them who have watched him.
“One or two top clubs,” he said when asked who was interested in the winger. He then added that Manchester United scouts were present at the 5-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on 22 September and that they “have him on their list”.
Whether they’ll be watching him in this international break remains to be seen but it seems interest is growing and United are a team to keep an eye on.
