Matteo Darmian’s future is a big talking point in the Italian media, because the former Torino defender doesn’t seem to be a part of Jose Mourinho’s plans at Manchester United.
Italy’s leading sport newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported Inter are very keen on signing the 26-year-old, and are working on the final details to sign him on loan with the option to buy.
Now, Italian website Sport Leggo have come up with more details on these rumours.
It is believed Inter have already taken concrete steps to sign Darmian, and have offered Manchester United around €1m for a loan, and another €13m-€14m to make it permanent in the summer.
Manchester United, however, want around €18m for Darmian, which sounds reasonable in the current market. Juventus are also reportedly keen on signing Darmian, and could be set for an off the pitch battle with Inter for his signature.
It does look Darmian has a future away from Manchester United, but a couple of injuries before the winter window could change everything.
