Manchester United are ‘going seriously’ for Valencia’s Fran Villalba, according to Super Deporte.

The interest was first reported by the El Desmarque, but the Spanish newspaper claims to have their own information saying the player has been watched by the Red Devils for quite a long time.

They say that all the scouting reports that Manchester United have on the player are telling the club to make the signing, and that’s why the first contacts have already been made.

Valencia have reportedly stated that the 18-year-old could leave only for €4m, which is his release clause. Villalba was supposed to be negotiating a new contract at the Mestalla Stadium, but the talks have been stuck for a few months now.

The player is currently playing for Valencia Mestalla, which is the club’s B team, and has four appearance for Valencia’s senior squad, all of them during the last season, when he was still 17 years old.

The club reportedly want to give him a new contract, with higher wages and a bigger release clause. But for now, a renewal is far from happening.
