Manchester United have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over a move for Jadon Sancho this summer.
That’s according to Sport 1, who say sources close to the situation have confirmed reports from England that the two clubs are negotiating a deal once more.
Sport 1 report that the ‘two clubs are getting closer’ with the transfer poker around Sancho ‘beginning to move’ once again.
Talks between Manchester United and Dortmund have begun in recent days, although United bosses are yet to make an initial offer for the 21-year-old.
According to Sport 1’s information, Dortmund have backed down from the €120m demands they were making last summer and now want a deal worth around €90m.
BVB and Manchester United are ‘working on an agreement’, and according to reports in England, United want a deal sorted before June 11th, the start of the European Championships.
Sport 1 don’t confirm whether that is the case, but their last report stated Sancho had basically agreed on a deal with the Red Devils on the terms of a contract, which have been defined since last summer.
Their latest information, however, states that ‘all parties are optimistic’ and working on a good solution, something sources close to the player in England and Germany have confirmed.
The main stumbling block, like last summer, is Dortmund’s asking price, and it remains to be seen if Manchester United are happy to pay €90m this time around.
