With big changes expected at Manchester United this summer, expect plenty of talk about Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.

That’s at least according to Calciomercato, who say they have been on Bremer’s trail ‘for some time’ and he is top of the list of potential options to reinforce their backline.

They explain that while all focus is currently on what happens on the pitch, and a potential last every derby against Torino for him yesterday, the subject of the transfer market ‘strongly enters the picture’.

The defender has a contract with Juventus until June 2028, but the reality is that his future remains to be written and he is one of the players Cristiano Giuntoli could deem ‘expendable’ ahead of his first summer transfer window in charge of the club.

Manchester United have been on his trail ‘for some time’ and intend to add a player who can add ‘defensive solidity’ to a backline that’s had anything but that this season.

They’re thinking about a move for the Brazilian and are ‘keen on’ the fact that he could be available for between €60-70m. That’s a clause in contract which comes into effect next year, but reports have made it clear Juventus will accept a similar figure this summer too.

It’s a situation to keep an eye on, but in Italy Manchester United are very much being presented as a side who are keen and leading the potential race for Bremer’s signature.
