On Tuesday, Uruguay Fichajes reported Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte has already said yes to Manchester United. It was also said Erik ten Hag’s side are expected to make progress in the next few hours.
Uruguay Fichajes again took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest the Red Devils’ pursuit of the midfielder.
Manchester United want to sign the 23-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy, likely without any conditions.
It’s claimed Luis Enrique’s side ‘accept Manchester United’s condition’ to secure the former Sporting man’s services. The English club will cover Ugartae’s full salary during the loan stay at Old Trafford.
The two clubs are ‘finalising details’ about the fee that Manchester United will pay to make the Uruguay international’s stay permanent at the end of this season.
This would be the key aspect of the operation and it’s likely to be sorted out, considering all parties are in favour of a transfer.
PSG signed the South American from Sporting in June 2023, but he wasn’t a key player under Luis Enrique last season. The manager even left Ugarte out of the squad for last weekend’s league win over Le Havre.
