The La Plata press is sounding pretty confident about Marcos Rojo’s return to his home town.
As local outlet El Dia writes about Estudiantes’ start to the week today, they say there’s a big expectation at the club that the defender will soon be officially signed.
They say Rojo is expecting Manchester United to loan him out for six months, and then next summer, he’ll have to make a new decision for his future.
El Dia says the transfer is ‘imminent’, and although Estudiantes aren’t making any further comments on it, having already confirmed interest, there are only a few details for the move to be confirmed. The 20-year-old is expected to be training with them by Thursday.
Marcos Rojo has only made nine appearances for Manchester United this season, and has been struggling with injuries over the past couple of years.
El Dia say his return to Argentina is partly motivated by his desire to continue being selected for the country’s national team.
