Earlier this month we covered claims from Sevilla that Manchester United are interested in Wissam Ben Yedder.
The Frenchman was seen as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is keen on a move to Inter Milan this summer. It makes sense for the Premier League club to have options ready in case Inter finally manage to find the money needed.
The same outlet we covered then, La Colina de Nervion, now have more claims.
The state Manchester United ‘have everything agreed’ with Ben Yedder, and whilst interest from PSG and Barca is mentioned, it’s then added the forward’s destination ‘with almost total security’ will be England.
Ben Yedder to Manchester United is seen, by them, as near certain if Lukaku goes. If he doesn’t, it isn’t ruled out, but an exit would give the Frenchman a bigger role at Old Trafford, and undermine Monchi’s attempts to use that reasoning to keep him at Sevilla.
La Colina de Nervion explain how ‘highly valued’ the 28 year old is at Sevilla and by the club’s fans.
Last season he scored 30 goals in 53 matches, as well as providing 11 assists. The year before it was 22 goals and 4 assists in 42 matches.
Wissam Ben Yedder’s release clause is €40m.
