The distance between Liverpool and Manchester seems to be the only thing separating Fred from Manchester United for now.

Earlier today, we’ve covered claims from UOL which said that the player would be using his time off from the national team to sort his deal with the Red Devils. Now Globo Esporte comes up with some more detailed information.

Even though UOL said the player would travel right after Brazil’s friendly against Croatia, Globo Esporte now says that the deal should be finalised on Monday in Manchester.

The Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder is expected in the city to have his medicals and sign a contract after the clubs agreed a €55m fee for him.

Globo Esporte claims that all the Brazilian players are expected to return to World Cup preparations at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground on Tuesday. So it sounds like Fred’s move to Manchester United should be done by then.

TV Globo, which belongs to the same media group as Globo Esporte, also talked about the move during the friendly’s broadcast. They claim that the move could be done on Sunday night.
