Diogo Dalot’s goal for AC Milan at the weekend convinced the Italian media to have a few stories on him and his future.
Today it’s newspaper Tuttosport who features a piece on the Manchester United owned player, and they have something interesting to say about his chances of staying with the Rossoneri.
The outlet claims Dalot had been putting in ‘negative performances’ for the Italian side, so it was a ‘great satisfaction’ for him to have a good game.
Tuttosport recalls that Manchester United didn’t set a buying option when loaning him to Milan at the start of the season, and for now, the player should return to Old Trafford in the summer. ‘Only then’ will the Rossoneri decide what to do.
With Milan not hurrying to make a final decision on Dalot’s future, that goes along with what the player’s agent said in an interview with Calcio Mercato yesterday.
Representative Carlos Gonçalves claimed that the fullback is for now happy at the Italian side, and the chances of a permanent move should only be considered later.
“At the right time, this will also be discussed. He has to train at his best and take advantage of every opportunity, the rest will be seen. There’s no contact now, but it’s normal. The focus is all on the field. Later we will talk about it and we’ll see what happens.”
