Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani ‘demands’ to cut short his spell at AS Monaco, according to claims from the French media.
France Football report the striker has told the Ligue 1 club he wants to leave in the January transfer window, as he hopes he can return to the Premier League.
England would be a good destination for him because according to the report, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both keen on his signing.
Slimani was having a good loan spell at Monaco, with seven goals and seven assists in 14 appearances for the club, however his relationships there have broken down recently. He believes the arrival of Roberto Moreno will limit his playing time with the club.
France Football say the Algerian striker considers it to be ‘ingratitude’, and now he wants to join a club where he feels desired.
With Leicester City having loaned him out three times, the Foxes are probably not the destination he’s dreaming of, even though he has a contract with the club until 2021.
It’s stated he’s ‘courted’ by Manchester United and Tottenham, with the Red Devils being widely linked over the past few days.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato report Inter Milan are considering signing Slimani as a back-up for Romelu Lukaku.
