Manchester United are keeping tabs on RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, according to SportBild.
The Bundesliga side are fourth in the table, a point ahead of fifth placed SC Freiburg and three points behind Union Berlin, who are in the third spot.
If Leipzig fail to qualify for the Champions League, they would have to take measures, which includes raising funds through player sales.
Olmo gets a mention and he would likely be included in the German club’s transferable list due to his contract situation.
His deal expires in 2024 and the renewal looks ‘improbable’, and there’s therefore been talk of the attacking midfielder’s sale for around €40m.
The Spain international is ‘leaning’ more towards a transfer in the next window. The 24-year-old, along with his father and agent are considering the approaches from England, where Manchester United are in the mix.
It’s claimed the Red Devils have asked the attacking midfielder about his future plans.
Erik ten Hag’s side have been told the ‘Champions League is a must’ for Olmo to join them in the summer.
Manchester United are currently fourth in the table and have a game in hand over fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur, who are trailing them by three points.
