Manchester United have officially paid the release clause for Peñarol youngster Facundo Pellistri, with them currently ‘uploading’ his international documentation before finalising the move.
That’s according to Sport 890 journalist Sebas Giovanelli, who backs up claims from earlier today that he is set to sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
Tenfield also back up the reports somewhat, but they say that Manchester United have reached an agreement to pay $10m for the winger as opposed to activating his release clause, which is worth the same amount.
Either way, a deal now appears to have been finalised between the two clubs and the transfer is seemingly impending, waiting for those pesky documents to be tied up.

There is also no mention from either side of whether Pellistri will be joining Manchester United’s first team or going into the youth set up initially.
That is likely to depend on what other business United do on deadline day, with them seemingly chasing a long list of right wingers before tonight’s deadline.
