Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly the potential threats to take André Onana away from Inter Milan this summer, along with Tottenham Hotspur.

Those claims are made by Gazzetta Dello Sport, who state that despite the Nerazzurri’s wish to hold the goalkeeper for longer, a ‘mind-boggling offer’ could take him away from the Serie A giants.

Onana himself is said uninterested in such an early exit after joining Inter Milan next summer, but that didn’t stop the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, who ‘knocked on his door’.

Regarding the Blues, it’s claimed that they’re searching for a replacement for Édouard Mendy. And in Manchester United’s case, Gazzetta claims that even though they want to keep David De Gea, they haven’t closed his contract renewal yet, and therefore look at other options.

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be preparing for life after Hugo Lloris.

Inter Milan are said to be ‘resisting’ this whole situation, but they won’t just sit and watch a Premier League club come for Onana. It’s said they already have a potential substitute for the 26-year-old on the books, and that’s Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario.

But it isn’t said how much will be needed to convince the Nerazzurri to let Onana go, so it seems Chelsea and Manchester United, and perhaps Tottenham, will have to give it a try.
