Manchester United are in negotiations with Celta Vigo youngster Stefan Bajcetic over a move to Old Trafford.

That’s according to La Voz de Galicia, who say that the 16-year-old complete his move to Manchester in the near future.

They report that Bajcetic ‘could soon’ leave the Spanish club and talks with Manchester United, who could become his ‘destination club’ are ‘ongoing’.

The newspaper say there is a ‘predisposition’ on both sides for the transfer to take place but his agent, Javier Villaverde, is insistent that the deal will not be finalised unless compensation can be fixed for Celta.

He ‘guarantees’ that the player will not be leaving on a free from the club who have trained him for several years and negotiations are therefore seemingly underway to work that out.

Bajcetic currently plays for Celta’s Youth ‘B’ side as a defender and has made two appearances for them so far, the latest of those coming last weekend against Ourense CF.

Last season he was a part of the club’s youth ranks and appears to have impressed someone enough that Manchester United are now pushing to secure his signature.
