Torino’s Raoul Bellanova has ended up on Aston Villa’s radar for the summer window, with Manchester United also interested, according to Torino Granata.

Aston Villa’s interest in the right-back isn’t new as they considered signing him in January, but their attempts were blocked by Torino chairman Urbano Cairo.

Unai Emery’s side are now joined by Manchester United in the chase for the 23-year-old.

Bellanova joined the Serie A side from Cagliari for €7m plus bonuses last summer and has starred for the Turin club this season, managing a goal and six assists from 33 games.

The defender’s performances have helped saw him make his debut for Italy last month and other clubs have also taken notice. Torino Granata state officials from Manchester United and Aston Villa have watched him in ‘recent weeks’.

It’s claimed the Premier League duo haven’t started negotiations yet and have only been monitoring the fullback, who’s mainly used as a wing-back this season.

The report adds it ‘can’t be ruled out’ for Manchester United and Aston Villa to make an offer, if they like to sign Bellanova.

His deal lasts until 2027 and the website says Torino value the player between €20m and €25m.

The Italian club aren’t in favour of selling Bellanova in the next window as they believe his price will rise further in the coming seasons, especially if he cements a place in the national team.

Torino will stand firm and will not ‘give in to easy temptations’, likely from England.
