Norwich City were one of the clubs relegated from the Premier League, and it’s no surprise some of their talented players are already linked with a move away from Carrow Road.

Over the weekend, Calciomercato.it explained that AC Milan and Napoli are chasing Ben Godfrey.

Another report from the same website now explains Manchester United and Bayern Munich have joined the race for the centre-back.

Godfrey is represented by New Era Global Sports, and Old Trafford favourite Rio Ferdinand is part of the agency.

It’s claimed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have contacted Ferdinand and ‘asked for information’ about the Canaries player.

If United remain serious about Godfrey, they will have to work hard to convince him to join them.

That’s because the defender ‘wants Milan’, and his desire is to end up at the San Siro, where he would find his idol Paolo Maldini. This is clearly a slant for an Italian audience.

The English side have slapped a €30m valuation on the defender, and Calciomercato.it explain clubs will have to be convincing to get that lowered.

Godfrey made 30 starts in the Premier League for Norwich in the 2019/20 season.
