Manchester United’s pursuit for Celtic fullback Josip Juranovic is today highlighted in the Italian media.
It’s TuttoMercatoWeb who claims that following the player’s good performances for Croatia in the World Cup, he ‘knows’ this is the right transfer window to make a big transfer away from Ange Postecoglou’s side and is ‘waiting for the best offer’.
According to the story, the ‘most interesting advances’ are from Manchester United, and that’s why other options are in ‘stand by’ for now.
The reason why the news come from the Italian media is that the other clubs who are interested in Celtic’s Juranovic are Torino and Monza, who don’t seem very well positioned against the Red Devils in the race.
Manchester United, however, already have two right-backs in the squad, and that’s exactly what’s delaying their pursuit.
The Italian website says the Old Trafford side must first find a place in the squad by sending Aaron Wan-Bissaka to a new club, and that’s why they asked Juranovic to wait ‘a few more days’ until they sort the situation.
For now, there’s no information on how much Celtic are asking or how much the Red Devils would like to pay for the player, who’s valued by Trasnfermarkt at €9m.
