Manchester United and Nottingham Forest are both showing an interest in Le Havre defender Arouna Sangante this summer.
That’s according to Le Quotidien, who report that the Premier League duo have both shown an interest in the 23-year-old.
The newspaper states that Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Ligue 1 in particular. And among the names being mentioned is Sangante.
He has a contract with Le Havre until 2026 and is valued at around €8m. That means a summer departure is not off of the cards.
They’ve been joined by several European clubs in showing an interest. Nottingham Forest are one of them, as well as Stuttgart, Augsburg, Sevilla and Marseille. All of them are closely monitoring the defender’s progress.
Whether Nottingham Forest or Manchester United have yet made moves, isn’t stated. They are both clearly looking to take advantage of the defender’s contract situation, though.
United have already signed Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre this summer, so they’re clearly aware of players at the club and it seems Sangante can be added to their list of potential targets.
