Manchester United may already be lining up a replacement for backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, with Ajax’s Diant Ramaj on their list.
That’s according to BILD and journalist Christian Falk, who reports that Manchester United are one of several sides eyeing the youngster.
Manchester United spent big on adding to their goalkeeping department in the summer following the decision to allow David de Gea to leave at the end of his contract.
They splashed the cash to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan as their new number one, while Altay Bayindir also arrived as his back up.
The Turkish goalkeeper has been growing increasingly unhappy with his situation, though, having managed just one appearance against Newport County so far this season.
“That’s true yes,” Falk told Englische Woche on reported interest from Manchester United and others.
“He was number two behind Trapp in Frankfurt and moved to Ajax Amsterdam this season, where he knows his place in goal. He’s number one there and impresses with strong performances.
“Have some Premier League clubs really taken notice of him? Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have and the tempting thing about all three is that he would have the chance to become number one.
“He could really attack the regular goalkeepers and that’s the plan at these clubs. The clubs are keen, they’re on him and my colleague Tobias Altschäffl has heard that it could become concrete.”
