Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira is one of those players who have been linked to Premier League clubs for years and years. The 25-year-old has been in great form in the Portuguese league for several seasons now, and although the speculation regarding a move is quite frequent, he’s never seem genuinely close to a move.
Just to keep the tradition, there’s a new list of Premier League sides who’d like to have him in the next transfer window. According to Correio da Manhã today, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested in the player and could make attempts to sign him in the summer.
In this case, it’s a bit more interesting because Correio da Manhã don’t often break transfer rumours, leaving the gossip to the sport newspapers. It’s also curious that despite naming four Premier League clubs, they don’t mention Liverpool, who reportedly scouted Danilo a few weeks ago.
The player has a €60m release clause, and considering he’s one of Porto’s most important players, he certainly won’t leave for much less than that.
